The Vision
Tye wanted to give back to children after her sibling had 4 successful heart surgeries. Her sibling overcame all of the obstacles certain doctors said couldn't be accomplished and didn't experience most of the limitations they said would be experienced. She felt her job as a big sister was to ensure her sibling's life was normal as possible. Together they had a normal childhood and was each other's best friend. With all of this first hand personal experience of life events, 4HH was established to provide this support to other children and families.
Hands On Experience
4Healing Hearts provides care and advocacy for children and families. The vision of this company began at a young age due to the love and empathy for my sibling. My sibling was born with Truncus Arteriosus, which is a rare birth defect of the heart. It occurs when a baby is born with one large artery instead of two separate arteries. There should be two arteries for the blood to flow to the body, heart, and lungs. With Truncus the blood leaves the heart with no specific path to the lungs for oxygen before returning to the heart to deliver oxygen to the body.
Surgery is necessary to separate the blood flow.
At 3 months old my sibling flown to San Francisco to have heart surgery. Three more surgeries were completed successfully at ages 3 years old, 11 years old, and 18 years old. After 4 successful heart surgeries, 4Healing Hearts was born. I have first hand experience being sensitive to the needs of children and advocating for their rights!
With todays technology, surgeons no longer have to cut on the rest to perform the surgery. The surgery can be performed through the groan. This procedure can eliminate being on the ventilator. This surgery has really come a long way. My sibling was the first baby in Texas to survive this procedure. This procedure was performed for my sibling's 5th & final surgery in 2018. Discharge was the following day and no time spent on the ventilator.

We would like to spotlight Trinity Lewis for being a beautiful and strong young woman. Trinity continues to fight for her daughter Tinslee's life. Tinslee remains hospitalized at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. Her daughter turned "one" years old on February 1, 2020. On February 4, 2020, Tinslee's case was heard by the Appellate Court in Tarrant County. Trinity continues to await the decision of the Appellate Court as she welcomed Tinslee's little sister Tylee in February.

The Appellate Court in Tarrant County heard Tinslee's Case Today. Our Executive Director attended the hearing to support Trinity and Tinslee.
Update April 28, 2020
Still awaiting a verdict from the Appellate Court. Tinslee continues to make improvements . She is doing well and has new teeth!
